God's Firewall

It is not your job to annihilate your mind. Your mind with all its abhorrent thoughts is not your enemy. Your mind is a tool for creation in the physical realm. The purpose of your mind is to produce options for you to accept or reject.

Having an idea you must reject is not a failure, it is how the process works.

The mind presents you an option which arises from the course you are on. If it is not what you want, appreciate it has arisen because you are now alerted to the fact that you have given it sufficient attention to be on the cusp of creation.

This is important information, because now you may choose to accept it, or you may release it and clear it before it manifests. If it does not serve you, if it is not what you want, let it go, and act as if it never was.  Do not try to 'resist' it. Just accept it has arisen and dismiss it. To resist it, fight it, dispair over it, hate it, struggle with it, is to resonate with it, and therefor attract/create/manifest it.

Awareness of what you do not want is not a failure. It is the process working perfectly. Release it back to the devine, into the realm of the unmanifested. Do not give it your attention again, unless it arises in your consciousness again, which is an indication that another aspect of it also needs releasing, least you create it unconsciously.

Be aware of your mind and what it is thinking. Think actively and consciously.

If it arises 1000 times, release it 1000 times. A thought arising is not a problem. Accepting that it is there is not a problem. Accepting that it has arisen is the opposite of resisting that it has risen. Accepting what is, keeps you in a state of non-resistance, which is the 'unattached' creative state of NOW.

Let it come and go, do not make judgments about it (which takes you out of the NOW and attaches you to the dead past) and do not fear it (which takes you into an imagined unwanted future, which is also is outside the NOW.)

NOW is the only place creation happens.

Giving 'what you do not want' your full attention and holding it in your thoughts and rehearsing it in your mind, and acting on it will bring it into form. Learn to discern the difference.

Just thank your mind for pointing it out. Deal with it and move on.

You are a creator. Your purpose here is to learn how to be a conscious creator instead of an unconscious one. This is the task of life.

The illusion of separation from God arises from identifying with your own created persona rather than with your true nature, which is God the Creator.

Your persona is your avatar, it is how you interface with the material/manifested world, and it is also a kind of firewall.

It is a buffer between your unconscious intentions and your conscious creations.

If not for your physical body (your avatar), you would blow up the world with your unconscious creations!

Our avatar is our 'governor', it receives most of our attention, and so suffers most of our unconscious creation. But our avatar is also our greatest teacher: through it we learn the discipline to create with consciousness. As we develop enough consciousness to create without being distracted by our avatar, then we become mature enough to do so.

I believe this is enlightenment and also the beginning of miracles.

Dance puppet, dance.

When I was very young, nothing frustrated me more than to listen to the big people talk about things I didn't understand. In fact, sometimes I had spells of horror, worrying that they might be discussing something about me -- consequential things -- like my imagined terminal disease which would do me in before the month was over, or like how all the adults were preparing for the end of the world but out of kindness was keeping that knowledge from children like me. Or worst of all, that Jesus was coming and everybody but me was in a state of grace and ... you get the picture.

As I got older, it still irked me when people had discussions about anything I didn't know about: No longer life and death, but mundanities like the name of Led Zephlin's drummer (presuming he had one) or that episode of Sienfield. Not that I ever gave rat's ass about those things. Still, I had a residue anxiety about not knowing.

Of course you can't be in the know about everything. You have to be selective. I selected what I thought were the important things. Inspired muchly by Lazarous Long's warning that "Specialization is for Insects" -- I studied on how to deliver babies. How to raise vegetables. How to survive a nuclear attack -- a distant one, at least. Fortunately I've only had to do one of those (so far).

But what I'm getting at is, it has been a lifelong drive and deep intention of mine to be in the know.

You could say it is my underlying lifelong intention.

I still don't know or care who Led Zephlin's drummer is. But there is so much that is important that I will pursue to the ends of the earth... universe... inner source... until I get it. Meditation is the fast lane in that pursuit. Yet strangely, it seems I must write down insights immediately or they flit away. (Huzzah for journals and blogs.) Then I must deliberately practice it or I forget that it was ever important to me and I find myself sleepwalking again wondering where all the goosebumps went and why I had them in the first place.

Practice. Practice. Practice. Right? Gotta be intentional and deliberate and mindful. Mind Full. Gotta keep the strings moving or the puppet just hangs there.

The lady or the tiger? Yes, please.

Seeking wisdom to make the right decision is a fools errand. It will have you futzing over every option, praying for precognition so you can make certain you are bringing the right future through your informed decision. And yet it seems whatever you do, you'll regret it. You look at every decision as a potential winning lottery ticket, and then sweat through every following happenstance as though it turned on the flip of your coin. You figure if you had enough wisdom under your hat, you couldn't loose, right?

No. Your decisions are neither correct nor incorrect: your present circumstances aren't the result of a good or bad decision, it is the sum total of your intentions. All of them.

You never have to struggle to manifest your intentions. They are a force of nature. They are manifesting all the time. Look around. Right now. Everything you have, feel, see, experience is a projection of your intentions. Everything. Your decisions... are also a manifestation. They don't cause or thwart your fate.

So don't waste your time praying for the right direction.

Here's the thing. Go to a tarot card reader. You know what she'll say? She'll ponder the cards and say with great conviction that you are at a crossroad. Well, no shit, sistah. Every nano-moment is a crossroad with an infinite ... no. Strike that. It's a feakin' round-about. Get off anywhere you like.

The only decision worth making is to decide to be intentional about your intentions. You've got loads you may not realize you have. Next time something happens that freaks you out a little bit, ask yourself, 'now why did I do that?' `

What's my intention? Now you've got yourself something to seek wisdom about.

Intentions run deep. Some are ancient (you are ancient) find out why you are manifesting what you are. You may think it isn't what you want. But on some level it is absolutely what you want. Find out why. There may be some tinkering to do. The result may be peace and acceptance. Or, you may find out this is the moment you arrive to resolve it and replace it with a new intention. Who knows?

Well, you do.

Keep the ball rolling.

Meditation can be seductive. It can bring your current position in to clear focus and calm your mind into awareness of the now. The problem of being in the moment, is that here/now is a point which is a wave of constant transition.

It is important to stay on the crest of the now/next wave instead of in the now/past trough.

Knowing how you got where you are now is of limited consequence. Sure, it can give you insight, and give you endless idle entertainment watching your own movie, speculating on subplots and motivations and catching glimpses of foreshadowing: But the important thing is knowing where you are going and what to do next.

To use the analogy of a journey, your intuition is pointing towards San Francisco. You at the moment are standing in a cornfield in Kansas. Never mind how you got here. The thing is, you need to be heading West. From a Kansas cornfield perspective, any road West will do. Just get moving. You can pick up a map at the next gas station. You can refine your directions as you go, but if you just sit there and fuss at yourself for being stuck in Kansas and ruminate on how you got there and why – well, when you are done, you'll still be standing in the cornfield, won't you?

If you need to, use meditation to hone your insight on the next move, and then do that. You are either moving towards your goal or away from it, because time is moving around you and it has a tendency to catch you up in its currents, and widen the gap.

I was once given the advice, if you don't know what to do, do nothing. I couldn't disagree more. In that circumstance, the something you should be doing at the very least is repairing your compass. That is an action, isn't it?

I love my GPS. When I miss the turn, it doesn't freak out, it just says “Recalculating.” No big. Just find the next turn.

Gotta keep going, though. Don't park and cry. Don't rage at the traffic. Don't curse the department of transportation.

Flat tire? Fix it.
Can't fix it? Get help.
No help? Call a taxi or get out and walk.

THE NEXT THING is always right there to do, so do it. Sometimes meditation is the next thing to do, but do it as an action, not as a hard stop.

Keep the ball rolling.

The giant hamster ball of infinite possibility.

The idea of creating the reality you want is daunting, unless you can accept the idea that the reality you want already exists. This is easiest from the perspective of infinite possibility. (Suddenly I'm channeling Douglas Addams. I wish.)

Imagine that infinite realties exist. It all IS. A good way to visualize this is on the interior of a ball. (If you want to entertain your imagination, toy with the idea that space is curved...)

On the interior of this ball is every possible reality, existing as points on the inside surface. Anything you can imagine is somewhere as a position point in space and time. Now see yourself. you are also standing inside this sphere. You are where you are right now (at least, your current local awareness fixed on this one spot at the moment). This is your reality point. And somewhere else is your desired potential point: the reality in which what you desire is also already existing RIGHT NOW.

From your position in the ball you can take a step in any direction. If you were in a giant hamster ball, no matter which direction you stepped in, you would still be balanced on your own feet. You'd be pulling the ball underneath you. In that way, it is you who is fixed, it is the infinite possibilities which move toward, around or away from you according to your intentions and the action you take to move. What lands under your "feet" is what you experience as 'the next thing". This location is in fact a new reality. One of a dizzying number of possible points you could have arrived at with only one step.

Yeah, each step, each decision and act takes you somewhere, but don't become paralyzed with fear. No matter where you end up, all possibilities still ARE. You may have missed the mark, but if that is the case, aim for it again.

Some desired destinations are very close and the next 'thing to do' is obvious. Do that, and you are there. For example. Feel that pressure in your bladder? The next step to relief is pretty clear. You wouldn't first drink another pint of beer, would you? No?

You had that choice. In fact, in some reality point your source-consciousness has played with just that scenario... and learned a valuable lesson. That learning is available to you now. Use it. Go there in your head. Explore that idea for as long as you need to, if you need to, and then reach your decision: First door on the right.

Do you see the destination in your head? Can you imagine the outcome? Do you have a clear expectation on how it will go? The relief you will enjoy? Now, stand up, and start walking towards the bathroom. There might be furniture in the way, you may need to knock on the door when you get there and wait a bit if it's occupied - those little obstacles don't change your desired outcome whatsoever, and there was no reason to give up and despair. You just altered your course slightly, but overall your objective remained crystalized.

If you can do that, you can do anything. The process to reach any destination exactly the same.

If you think this is a dumb example because it's so ordinary, because it's something you do without thinking several times a day and it requires no effort at all... may I remind you that it took you a couple of years to do it reliably? That at one point in your life it wasn't even in your consciousness that there might be a different outcome possible which didn't involve getting wet, uncomfortable, and smelly? That there was a course of action you would someday preform without second thought? Which would become so ingrained and so habitual that the consequences of not doing it becomes practically unthinkable?

On the flip-side. becoming incontinent again is one of the most dreaded disorders a person can deal with.

Still think it's a dumb example? Let's all pause for a moment and exercise a little gratitude for the ability to master skills which enable us to reach our desired outcome. Peeing when and where you want to should be near the top of the list.

So, how do you figure out where your desired outcome is? Your internal compass is your intuition. Your intuition will vibrate with excitement when you are facing 'true north'. Get oriented to your intuition and then you can begin visualizing your desired destination: That reality that is out there somewhere. When you are facing your destiny, the goals jell right before your eyes. When you are going the right way, all other directions feel dead or wrong or boring or aggravating or frightening or numbing to you.

Then your next task is to just 'do the next thing' by taking the next step. It might be a long path between you and your destination, or it might be shorter than you'd dare to believe. Either way, and even if the path is obscure, there is a HERE and there is a THERE and you can break the trail between them as long as you keep going in the right direction.

Whether the bathroom is down the hall or down the street, keep going! Remember, you don't have to create the bathroom. You don't have to manifest it. You don't have to re-arrange atoms and hurl incantations and affirmations at the universe. It already exists. You just have to go where it is.

Forget Schroedinger's Cat: Get groovy with the Giant Hamster Ball of Infinite Possibility. A little thing I like to call the Autoverse.

But hey, that doesn't (necessarily) mean you exist only to populate my hamster ball. Naw. You are in your own ball, pal. We bump into each other here and there. That's all. At those times we tend to agree. But only tend to.

Ever compare notes with somebody?
